On a plane at 4:40pm to Burbank and back on a plane back to Sacto at 9:55pm. The presbytery examination went okay. Roughly twenty minutes. I had a baptism question and a holy spirit question. It was all good. I was nervous and thought my heart was going to race out my brains. I made it though and the church is very happy and beside themselves. We praise God for our new church and look forward to serving the Lord with them.

Just took this of our kiddies. It was 34 degrees at 7am this morning. IPASTOR has snow. We have leaves. Flying down in a few hours for a presbytery meeting. I go before presbytery for examination for the church I will be serving with as pastor. This is the last hoop. Would enjoy your prayers. For those of you seven readers the installation pending “approval” is January 21 at 4pm in Littlerock.

It’s almost official. I’ve been voted in as the new pastor of the Community Presbyterian Church of Littlerock, California. Sermon went well I think. They’ve welcomed my family and me into their church. Great people. Sweet little church. They love the Lord. Now off to presbytery for approval next week. Praise be to God! I start December 1. Yeah!!! I’ve created a new blog just for this process here to keep folks updated. Thanks for all of you prayers!!! Pray for a new teaching job for my wife and a great school for our kids.

This Sunday I’m candidating for a church to be their pastor. The family and I will meet our new church pending a congregational meeting and vote. I’m very thrilled in that we get to begin a new journey together as a family with some new folks. The Lord is good and I’m looking forward to seeing where God will lead us as I take on a new role as a pastor. It’s a great little church. I will keep you posted. Would enjoy your prayers and also praise in that God has provided this call for me and I’m excited and at the same time overwhelmed with what I need to do these next few weeks. I’m even breaking in a new laptop to start writing a set of sermons to preach for the Advent season. More thoughts to come.

Ok, I’m not usually one to preach from a pulpit stand. I will use it just for notes, but the stand makes me feel all wierd and stuff and when I do preach from a pulpit stand I usually regret it. Just me. Sorry seminary education, but…I think I can get used to this stand for preaching and this would of made preaching class much more fun.
